Knotty Striper Derby 2026 — Presented by Steve’s Rope Splicing
The following is a summary of key rules. The Official Tournament Rules document is the binding authority. Download the full rules above.

  1. Registration is in-person only at Steve’s Rope Splicing, 11 Harbor Loop Unit 6, Gloucester, MA. Entry fee is $35.

  2. All fish must be caught within Essex County coastal waters.

  3. No submissions accepted until 48 hours after registration timestamp.

  4. Two photos required: (1) fish flat with tape and ID visible, (2) angler holding fish.

  5. Fish nose at zero mark. Tail pinched closed (standard MA DMF measurement method). Measurement to nearest 1/4 inch.

  6. Only your longest approved fish appears on the leaderboard.

  7. Tied measurements: earlier submission wins.

  8. Each angler may win Fish of the Week once per season.

  9. All participants solely responsible for compliance with MA DMF fishing regulations.

  10. Tournament Director decisions are final.
